Each ingredient is selected for your increased lactation:

    • Oats - This nutrition-packed food is great for all moms because it’s loaded with iron, fiber, magnesium, and zinc. According to Donna Murray, RN, BSN not only are oats good for your heart and are a nutritious way to satisfy hunger, they may also help with lacation. "Saponins are a substance that may have a positive effect on the hormones related to breast milk production."

    • Flaxseed -  Flaxseed oil contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is partially converted into omega-3-fatty acids, According to NIH -National Library of Medicine, “Flaxseed oil increases the ALA content of breastmilk”

    • Chia seeds -  To produce more breast milk, the body needs an extra 450–500 calories each day. An ounce of chia seeds contributes 138 calories and contains fiber and protein that may aid digestion and satiety

    Increased Energy and Stamina

With natural energy boosters like banana, almond butter, and protein powder, this smoothie will provide you with a quick pick-me-up. The combination of complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and protein will help keep your energy levels stable throughout the day.

These ingredients are proven to boost your energy and healthy:

    • Banana -  For busy moms, bananas are an excellent way to boost energy and quickly consume nutrients to support mom and baby. In addition to nutritional benefits, Swati Patwal, M.Sc. (Food & Nutrition), MBA, shares there is growing evidence that eating bananas can even boost your mood through increasing serotonin.

    • Almond butter - According to Dr. Pallavi Srivastava, Almond butter is a flavorful type of butter that contains many nutrients. It has a high energy profile and a significant fiber content, so it can keep you feeling full for hours.

    • Protein powder - Protein powders are nutritional supplements that may help build muscle, repair tissue, and make enzymes and hormones. And it turns out, we need more protein than we might think. According to new research by the National Institute of Health, breastfeeding women require more protein than the average person, generally 1.5-1.9 g per kg. For example, if you are 70 kg, you should be consuming 105 - 130 grams of protein a day for optimal health.
